Depending on the game price, there are a certain number of tickets in a “pack” inside the machine. The ticket number helps you identify which ticket in the pack you have. Look at the small square in the bottom-left on the front of the ticket. Packs typically start at 000. For example, a $30 game often runs 000–029.

Modern PA Lottery scratch-offs include a dedicated area used for prize validation and claiming. You’ll usually find this box on the bottom-right of the ticket. It’s designed to be scanned by lottery terminals and the official app.
Scratch this area to reveal the QR code used to scan and validate your ticket. You can scan it at a retailer terminal or with the official Pennsylvania Lottery app: Android / iPhone.
Checking via the app is a handy way to confirm a result at home before bringing a ticket to a retailer.
If the Scratch To Cash QR code is damaged or missing, a retailer can sometimes validate a ticket using the ticket PIN. The PIN is typically a 12-digit number that must be scratched to reveal. Its exact placement varies, but it’s commonly near the bottom-center of the play area.
The last four digits printed under the barcode on the back of a PA scratch-off ticket are the game number. If you ever need to validate a ticket without a scannable QR code, the game number may be used alongside the ticket PIN.
